| Full News Story: The latest Xbox is called the “version 1.6 Xbox” -- So far this version has not been fully hacked yet, so there are no Modchips on the market to mod a version 1.6 xbox. However, the various Xbox modchip manufacturers (Xecuter, DMS, OzXodus, etc.) are working diligently to find a solution. As most of you know, there are several versions of the Xbox. The original Xbox version 1.0 was released in November, 2001. Shortly thereafter, version 1.1 was released, and Microsoft seems to release a new version 2-3 times per year. With each new Xbox version, there are problems that must be worked out so that Modchips will work. The latest 1.6 xbox version is no different. So far, there is no modding solution, but I am confident a way to mod the version 1.6 xbox will be found. Below are the specifications for the first version 1.6 xbox found.
